Bright ruby-red. Roasted plum, black cherry, cassis, chocolate and animal fur on the nose. A step up in flesh and intensity from Meo village wines. Round and silky, with lovely pinot tang, thanks to firm acidity. This has plenty of size for ’99. Finishes with supple, even tannins.
