The Chateau Bel-Air is located in Belves de Castillon, near Castillon La Bataille, east of Saint Emilion. The property is located on the site of a chapel which was a resting place for pilgrims en route to Santiago de Compostela. This site enjoys exceptional views of the estate and its vineyards. The origins of this château go back to 1672. The noble house of Bel-Air belonged to a certain Jean Dupoujet, an equerry of King Louis XVIII
Tasting note
Very nice strong bright red colour. A perfect maturity. A good intensity and density. Notes of candied fruit. Complex smoky aromas with hints of vanilla. Rounded velvety tannins. A good representative of this appellation and vintage. A very charming wine. Ready to drink.
