The Beyer family have been wine-growers in Eguisheim, the cradle of the Alsace wine-producing region, since 1580. Grapes cultivated on the best slopes of Eguisheim and the surrounding area are the raw material from which the prestigious Beyer wines have forged their high worldwide reputation. Famous British wine writer Hugh Johnson states: “The Beyer wines are the most masculine of any Alsace wines: firm, broad, dry, substantial and traditional in style.”
