Domaine Jean Collet et Fils, Chablis 1er Cru Montee de Tonnerre 2021 (1x75cl)

Sample taken from various barrels, not otherwise yet assembled. There is an oaky element but it works well with this terroir, in complement to the fruit. Quite a wealth on the palate, on the cusp between white and yellow, then a buttery oaky quality to finish – but absolutely not interfering with the fruit. Fine length. This will grow into itself very well. Not new wood. Drink from 2024-2028.
