90 points James Suckling Aromas of foie gras, meat and berry. Turns to light jam. Full body, with velvety tannins and a light jam aftertaste. Slightly decaying fruit character. Drink now. (1/2012) Wine Enthusiast Showing youthful oak tones that still need time to integrate, this wine is a bit sour and ripe at the same time. Black cherry, tobacco, leather and spice aromas are nice, but the tannins are firm, and the wine shows a bright point of acidity on the close and a gritty, cooked-fruit finish. (5/2012) K&L Notes The Ferrero Brunello di Montalcino is really dynamite. Bold, rich and smooth, with layers of complex fruit and spice. It is perhaps one of the best they've made.
