Domaine Parent was founded in 1803. Today, it is headed by two sisters, Anne and Catherine Parent, who continue the family tradition of winegrowers that originated in the 17th century. The Domaine consists of 10 hectares that produce mostly red wines from the Cote de Beaune. The vines grow on clay-limestone soils, coloured red by iron oxide. The vineyards are all treated organically, and the harvest is undertaken by hand. After rigorous sorting, the grape bunches are destemmed, followed by whole-berry temperature-controlled fermentation follows (12-20 days). The wines are aged for 16-18 months with 30-60% new French oak.
