Nestled in the Northern-East of Italy, in the core of the Veneto region, are the Prosecco hills of Valdobbiadene. Here Foss Marai was a pioneer in kick-starting the sparkling wines production in the early 1900s with the inception of its boutique winery on rows of steep hills in the little town of Guia.
Hence the term Foss Marai recalling the local valleys called “foss” (gullies) and “Marai”, the deepest gully of Guia town. Generation after generation, the Biasiotto family still embodies the perfect match between tradition and innovation and has become one of the most popular names on the sparkling wine market.
