The Ygay Estate is located in the south of Rioja Alta, surrounding the winery with its 300 hectares of vineyards and providing absolute control over the estate’s most valued asset: its five grape varieties. Since 1852 Marqués de Murrieta produces fine wines made only from grapes harvested at the Ygay Estate. The rich soil along with a great climate conditions ensures a complexity rarely found in the region. All the wines are bottled and matured in the winery allowing the winemaker, Maria Vargas, to reach perfection.
