France Red

France's red regions are separated less by grape than by climate and the rules that grew around it. Bordeaux blends Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot because a maritime climate makes single-variety ripening a gamble; Burgundy is Pinot Noir alone because the appellation says so; the southern Rhône blends Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre because heat and wind make a blend more reliable than any one of them.

So the blend on a French label is usually an answer to a local problem, not a house style. It is also why the same grape reads so differently a few hundred kilometres apart — Cabernet Franc in Saint-Émilion, where it supports Merlot, and Cabernet Franc in Chinon, where it stands on its own.

酒質介紹 : 葡萄品種：80% Carignan 百年老藤, 20% Grenache​​​。 風土：Minervois早在羅馬時代就是優質的葡萄酒產區，面朝南部地中海的山坡，富含石灰岩，砂岩，及部分的黏土泥灰岩，擁有充足的日照，及穩定的氣候條件，即便到收穫期，夜間的溫度平均約為17度，明顯的溫差，幫助葡萄保留南法先天的葡萄成熟度之外，更保有難得的酸度。 釀造：Anne與Jean-Paul想釀造的並非單純只是南法的布根地，而是重新詮釋南法的真實面貌，結合力量與優雅，展現南法多變的風土特色與釀酒師想法的革新之舉。 南法區的珍寶就是高比例的荖藤，尤其Carignan在這幾年更成為南法區最受人矚目明星。這款Les Carrétals所使用的葡萄，全數採收自1909年時就栽種的世紀百年Carignan老藤，100%時則使用橡木桶發酵釀造。Les Carrétals是葡萄園的名稱，大小僅1.07公頃。新桶比例30%以上。​ 因此悠長的花香特質，使得這款酒彷彿是液體的紫羅蘭花，明顯的黑色水果滋味，帶有些許鹹味的礦物感，香草與甘草的香氣。濃郁的酒體，卻具有意外滑順純淨的質地。是一款象徵南法地區未來前景的代表之作。​
