Aberlour Distillery, nestled in the heart of Speyside, is renowned for its commitment to traditional whisky-making. The 'a'bunadh' series, Gaelic for 'the original', pays homage to a bygone era of robust, full-bodied single malts.
The 'a'bunadh Alba' expression, distinct from its sherry-matured counterpart, is exclusively matured in American white oak ex-bourbon casks. This choice of oak imparts a different flavour profile, focusing on vanilla, honey, and orchard fruit notes, while maintaining the signature Aberlour richness.
Batch 8 continues this tradition, presented at natural cask strength and un-chillfiltered, ensuring the full integrity of its character is preserved. This release offers a transparent insight into the distillery's spirit, shaped by its chosen maturation vessel.

Finish: Long and warming, with lingering sweetness, a touch of dry oak, and a clean, refreshing fruitiness.
