Having been criticized for years for their tannic and difficult style of wine, Chateau Lafon Rochet has made great strides in the last decade in improving the style of their wine to one which strives for elegance, charm and finesse. The 4eme Cru Classe Saint-Estephe estate was first purchased by the Tesseron family in 1959 and is currently under the management of Basile Tesseron with the aid of well-known consultant Jean-Claude Berrouet, who has worked at several top estates on the right bank including Petrus.
