After a long joint venture with the prestigious Lafite Rothschild group, Bacalhoa Vinhos de Portugal acquired the entire Quinta do Carmo Estate in 2008, which, at that point, became the centre of winemaking and production centre for all of the Alentejan Bacalhoa Group wines. The modern and attractively-built winery underwent considerable renovation both in terms of technological advancement and also in the technique of wine production. It is here that high-quality wines are produced, such as the famous Quinta do Carmo white and the Quinta do Carmo Reserva among others.
