The vineyard's gravelly soils, characteristic of the Médoc, provide excellent drainage and heat retention, crucial for the optimal ripening of Cabernet Sauvignon, which forms the backbone of the blend. Merlot contributes suppleness and aromatic breadth. The 2018 vintage in Bordeaux was marked by a warm, dry summer following a wet spring, resulting in grapes of excellent concentration and phenolic maturity.
