Described as a “plush McLaren Vale Shiraz,” this wine offers notes of mocha, coffee beans, blackberries, aniseed, and cassis. Gargett highlights its ripe and dense character with fine, silky tannins and a hint of graphite, suggesting it’s as refined and elegant as McLaren Vale Shiraz gets. 

Love notes the wine’s rich varietal and regional character, featuring classic Satsuma plum, ripening fruits, and drying herbs like sage and thyme. He describes the palate as effusive and wealthy, with a fleshy, sappy mouthfeel and sticky tannins leading to a lingering, textural finish. 

Knox highlights the wine’s deep ruby red color, with aromas of black cherry, dry loam, and ironstone. The palate is full-bodied, featuring ripe blue and black fruits, a lift of acidity for freshness, and hints of anise and bitter chocolate. Finely built tannins carry the wine to a long finish.
