Billecart-Salmon has been quietly bringing a touch of glamour to events over the past decade. One of the last family-owned Champagne Houses, they rise above many other Champagne at the same price for its intriguing depth and delicacy. For those in the know, the Billecart Salmon Rose is an essential celebration wine - although, beware, it is often sold by allocation.

The innovative style of this cuvée remains loyal to the discreet and balanced charm of the three Champenois grape varieties. No sugar has been added to the dosage.

92 points James Suckling This extra brut has a super crisp aperitif-style with great fruit purity and savory persistence. Aromas and flavors of little wild red fruits, as well as an array of cool, crisp reed and green apples on the palate. Super fresh. Drink now. (9/2018)

91 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate The pale golden colored NV Extra Brut displays a beautifully clear, complex and elegant bouquet of ripe seed fruits such as apples and pears intermixed with the complex, mature expressions from the reserve wines, which account for up to 55% of this 2014-based blend. It is composed of 40% Pinot Meunier, with 30% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay. Fresh and structured on the perfectly round and elegant palate, this is a medium to full-bodied Champagne with great purity and finesse as well as persistent complexity. This is serious and exciting Champagne with a long, persistent finish and stimulating salinity. No dosage. Tasted from lot L 144A892 47283 in November 2018. (SR) (12/2018)

90 points Wine Spectator A well-knit, dry Champagne, with a finely detailed, creamy mousse and subtle flavors of salted cracker, ripe pear, preserved lemon and dried apricot. (AN) (12/2018)

Wine Enthusiast The low dosage of this wine reveals the richness of the delicious fruit. Its acidity is well balanced with the white fruits, mineral texture and pure, crisp aftertaste. This delicious wine will benefit from a few more months in bottle. Drink from 2019. (RV) (12/2018)
