Chateau Lascombes 2015 (1x75cl)
Chateau Lascombes 2015 (1x75cl)
Château Lascombes, a Deuxième Grand Cru Classé of Margaux, produced an exceptionally opulent expression in the landmark 2015 vintage. Situated on gravel-rich knolls intermixed with clay-limestone, the estate's vineyard layout permits an unusually high proportion of Merlot in its blend compared to its Left Bank neighbours, complemented by Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot.
Vinified with meticulous temperature control and aged for up to 20 months in French oak barrels, the 2015 vintage highlights the generosity of a warm growing season balanced by Margaux's signature floral nuance. This 75cl bottling demonstrates impressive structural integrity, poised for extended cellar aging.
Tasting notes
Deep garnet-purple in the glass. The nose unfolds with pronounced aromas of black cherry compote, crème de cassis, graphite, and toasted espresso bean, accented by dried violet florals. On the palate, it is full-bodied and voluptuous, offering a lush core of dark berry fruit framed by polished, velvety tannins and seamlessly integrated oak. The finish is persistent, carrying notes of dark chocolate and crushed gravel.
