Château Smith Haut Lafitte’s second label, Le Petit Haut Lafitte Rouge 2019, showcases the disciplined precision of this renowned Grand Cru Classé de Graves property. Crafted predominantly from Cabernet Sauvignon alongside Merlot harvested from the estate’s Gunzian gravel terraces, the wine reflects the microclimate and well-drained quartz soils of Pessac-Léognan.

Vinified using gravity-flow methods and aged in French oak barrels crafted in the château’s own cooperage, the 2019 vintage offers exceptional structure, fine-grained tannins, and quintessential Graves typicity suited for drinking now or medium-term cellaring.

Tasting notes

Deep garnet-purple in color. The nose opens with aromas of dark cassis, black plum, cedar wood, crushed gravel, and subtle smoke. On the palate, it is medium- to full-bodied with vibrant acidity, seamless oak integration, and a focused finish marked by graphite, tobacco leaf, and dark cocoa.
