Flametree Chardonnay 2023 (1x75cl)

Estate
Flametree, Margaret River — founded 2007, Jimmy Watson Trophy with its first vintage. James Halliday Five Red Star (top 2%).

Region
Margaret River: maritime climate, gravelly loam, long ripening. The combination gives whites both ripeness and acid.

Variety & Style
The estate's core Chardonnay, a step up from Embers: stone fruit and citrus peel with a layer of texture from barrel work. Medium bodied.

What to Expect
More than the entry tier, but not single-site level. Its place is straightforward — a proper Chardonnay without spending five hundred dollars.

Serving
11–12°C. Roast chicken, richer fish, mushrooms. Cellars 3–5 years.
