Glaetzer Wines, founded in the Barossa in 1995 and made by Ben Glaetzer. James Halliday Five Red Star (top 2%). Its flagship Amon-Ra is a recognised Australian cult wine.

Barossa Valley — warm, dry, and home to some of the oldest Shiraz vines anywhere.

Variety & Style
Bishop sits above Wallace and below Anaperenna in the estate hierarchy. Straight Shiraz: dark fruit and spice, with oak handled more conservatively than in the flagship. Full bodied without heaviness.

What to Expect
This is not Amon-Ra. It is a way to taste the same winemaker's hand at a third of the price. The depth is different; the stylistic bloodline is clear.

Serving
17–18°C, decant 45 minutes. Barbecue, short rib, aged cheese. Drink through 2032.
