HEAVENSAKE Label Orange Junmai Daiginjo (Regis Camus & Urakasumi) (1x72cl)

HEAVENSAKE blends Japanese sake the way Champagne is blended: several batches from one brewery, brought together by Régis Camus with the brewery's toji. Camus was cellar master at Piper-Heidsieck and later led Rare Champagne, and was named IWC Sparkling Winemaker of the Year eight times.

HEAVENSAKE makes only junmai sake: no distilled alcohol is added.

LABEL ORANGE × URAKASUMI
Made with Urakasumi, founded in 1724 in Shiogama, Miyagi, which brews the sacred sake for Shiogama Shrine. Kyokai No.12, a well-known sake yeast, was first isolated at Urakasumi, and this blend uses it. Look for the orange cap on the black bottle.

Tasting notes
Pineapple, lychee, green apple, melon, blossom, white lily and hints of dried fruit; slightly rich and dry, with umami and a silky texture.
