Macallan Classic Cut 2020 (1x70cl)

The 2020 iteration of The Macallan Classic Cut demonstrates the distillery's mastery of cask curation, bottled at a higher strength of 55% ABV to preserve the structural intensity of its aromatics. This specific edition incorporates a higher proportion of ex-bourbon American oak casks alongside Macallan's signature sherry-seasoned European oak, creating a vibrant tension between sweet vanillin and rich dried fruit.

On the palate, the elevated alcohol strength amplifies the integration of oak tannins, candied orange peel, and warm baking spices. The marriage of wood profiles produces a layered Speyside single malt with remarkable viscosity, offering an authoritative look at the impact of cask selection on whisky texture and flavor progression.
