Clare Valley is Australia's benchmark for dry Riesling. Wide day–night temperature swings ripen the fruit while preserving acidity; slate and limestone soils give the wines their line.

Variety & Style
Clare Riesling is typically bone dry, high in acid and light in body — lime, white grapefruit and minerality, with no residual sugar and no oak. Wines of this style are usually closed on opening and expand after twenty minutes in the glass.

What to Expect
This is not an off-dry German-style Riesling, and it is not a fruit-forward white. Its value lies in precision and acid structure. If you normally drink Chardonnay, the first sip may read as lean — that is regional typicity, not a fault.
