Combining the structural frame of Cabernet Sauvignon with the generous mid-palate richness of Shiraz, the 2022 release showcases impeccably balanced fruit sourced from premier vineyards across McLaren Vale, Barossa Valley, and Padthaway.

Maturation in American oak hogsheads—a proportion of which previously held the flagship Grange—imparts seamless integration of sweet spice, dill, and subtle coconut nuances. The 2022 vintage exhibits remarkable cellaring potential, built on a spine of precise acidity and fine-grained, firm tannins that will allow it to evolve gracefully over two decades.

Tasting notes

Deep crimson-purple in appearance. The nose opens with concentrated aromas of cassis, dark plum, and graphite, framed by roasted coffee, cedar, and cured meat elements. On the palate, a dense, muscular core of black fruits is sustained by structured, ripe tannins and brilliant acidity. Finishes exceptionally long with lingering notes of dark chocolate, sarsaparilla, and ironstone minerality.
