Yeringberg has been owned by the de Pury family since 1862 and is among the Yarra Valley's most historic estates. Production is roughly 1,200 cases a year, from some of the oldest vines in the valley. James Halliday Five Red Star (top 2%).

Region
The Yarra Valley's cool climate keeps acidity and aromatic detail in Rhône white varieties that would otherwise turn broad.

Variety & Style
Marsanne carries body, beeswax and an almond texture; Roussanne adds florality and acid. The blend originates in the northern Rhône and is exceptionally rare in Australia. This is a texture-driven white — the interest is in mouthfeel and length rather than aromatic display.

What to Expect
This is not an easy aperitif white. It asks for patience and it asks for food. The very small production is part of the price — you are buying scarcity and estate history alongside the wine.

Serving
12°C, large glass. Serve with food: rich fish, roast chicken, cream sauces. Cellars 10 years or more.
