The fruit comes from old vines around Ebenezer in the northern Barossa, a sub-district known for concentration and tannin density.

Variety & Style
100% Shiraz, unfined and unfiltered — a decision that retains the maximum of texture and flavour compounds at the cost of requiring more time and air. The wine takes its name from the Egyptian sun god.

What to Expect
This is the estate's flagship and one of Australia's recognised cult wines. It is not a bottle to open casually — it needs decanting, food that can stand up to it, and an occasion. If you want to meet Glaetzer without the ceremony, Bishop (#23) or Anaperenna (#24) are more practical.

Serving
18°C, decant 1.5–2 hours. Aged beef, roast lamb, game. Drinking window extends toward 2040.
